The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own and, at present, loads no advertising or analytics tags. It stores your banner choice in your browser's local storage and keeps a few details for the length of your visit in session storage, as described below.

None of these items is sent to any other company, and none is used to build a profile of you.
Optional measurement tags
No measurement tag is configured on this site today. If one is added in future, for example a pixel from the advertising network used to promote the site, it will load only on content pages and only after you choose “Accept”. Such a tag may set the provider's own cookies. Before that happens, this notice and the privacy notice will name the provider and explain what it receives. Choosing “Essential only” keeps every optional tag switched off. Every article reads the same either way.

What this site does not use
- No third-party fonts, scripts or stylesheets: everything is served from this website.
- No social media buttons or embedded content that sets cookies.
